Terms & Conditions
Last updated 4 August 2026 · v1.1
These are the Terms & Conditions you accept when you sign up for iCarry. They are the same version referenced on your in-app consent and every receipt.
1. About Icarry
Icarry is a technology platform that connects customers who need parcels moved with independent transport partners (drivers). Icarry facilitates matching, pricing, tracking, and payment; the transport itself is provided by the driver.
2. Booking & Delivery Code
Every delivery is issued a unique delivery code shown only to the customer. The driver must enter this code to complete the delivery. Never share your code until the parcel is in the correct hands — it is your proof of a completed, in-app delivery.
3. Pricing, Fees & VAT
Fares are calculated by Icarry from the route distance, vehicle type, any helpers requested, and applicable surge. The fare you are quoted is VAT-inclusive (16%). An optional parcel-protection fee may apply where enabled. Drivers receive their earnings net of the Icarry service commission.
4. Payments (M-Pesa & Cash)
You may pay by M-Pesa (via STK push) or cash. For cash deliveries the driver collects the full fare directly, and the Icarry service commission is booked to the driver’s account and settled to Icarry. All transactions are recorded and receipted in-app — off-platform arrangements are not covered by these terms or by Icarry protection.
5. Parcel Protection & Liability
Where the parcel-protection fee is charged, eligible parcels are covered up to the coverage limit stated on your receipt against loss or damage in transit, subject to a valid in-app booking and completed delivery record. Prohibited, illegal, perishable, fragile-without-declaration, or high-value-undeclared items are excluded. Icarry’s liability is limited to the stated coverage limit and does not extend to consequential loss.
6. Disputes & Refunds
If something goes wrong, raise a dispute in the app within 48 hours of delivery. Icarry will review the delivery record, GPS trail, proof-of-delivery photo, and both parties’ accounts, and may issue a refund or adjustment. Disputes can only be assessed for deliveries booked and completed through Icarry.
7. Ratings & Conduct
Customers and drivers rate each other after every trip. Ratings affect matching and standing on the platform. Abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe conduct — including attempts to transact off-platform to avoid fees — may result in penalties or removal.
8. Privacy & Contact
Contact details shared for a delivery are used only to complete that delivery and may be masked. We process your data to operate the service in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
9. Driver Eligibility & Documentation
To register as a driver you must provide a valid National ID or Passport and complete a live selfie for identity verification. We strongly encourage — and review where provided — a vehicle logbook, a valid driving licence, an NTSA PSV badge, a DCI Certificate of Good Conduct, a current NTSA vehicle inspection certificate, comprehensive or PSV insurance, and a KRA PIN. Icarry may require any of these documents before activation, may request updated documents at any time, and may suspend or deactivate a driver account where a document is missing, expired, or found to be invalid. Providing accurate, genuine documents is your responsibility; misrepresenting a document is a violation of these terms.
